Winter Programme 2021-2022

Meetings are held at 7.30pm on Mondays at the Friends Meeting House, Stramongate, Kendal. After using Zoom instead for the last year, we have now resumed meetings in person at the Friends Meeting House.

Non-members are welcome at our normal meetings, at a small charge.

If we should need to revert to Zoom, the link would be sent out to members a few days before each meeting.

This talk looks at the amazing concentration of wildlife in some of the most inhospitable parts of the world, photographed on a visit made in Jan/Feb 2020

24 January 2022 Nigel Gilligan – Nature notes from around the Duddon estuary

A photo-led talk about some varied and often noteworthy wildlife seen around the Duddon estuary in 2020. The talk covers many interests, from flowers and fungi to beetles, bugs and bumblebees.. Something for everyone!

14 February 2022 Judith Robinson A naturalists’ tour in Namibia

This tour in 2017 included Etosha, the Skeleton Coast, Walvis Bay, and the Namib Desert – iconic African mammals, the extraordinary Welwitschia and, of course, many birds.
